Issues

There is a known issue that occurred on 3/18/16 with the URL resolver in the media center.  With this issue as soon as you open up the media center it will automatically kick you back out to the home menu.  Below are the lists of steps you will need to follow in order to resolve this issue. 

 

This issue was not caused by our programming.  As with any new technology, from time to time there will be some random issues that may interrupt service.  Please be patient when this occurs, and rest assured we will do our best to make sure the problem gets resolved quickly. Thank you for your patience!

 

 

 

For Devices Using Wi-Fi

 

 

  • 1. Go to Settings and disconnect and forget your wireless network

  • 2. Launch Kodi Media Center 

  • 3. Go to and select SYSTEM

  • 4. Then Select Add Ons

  • 5. Scroll down and select System again

  • 6. Then Select Dependencies

  • 7. Scroll down to URL Resolver and it will show status as “Update Available”

  • 8. Select URL Resolver and highlight Update – do not select update yet as you are not connected to the internet so it will not update.  You want to stay on this screen inside the media center.

  • 9. Hit the home button on your remote (please note that even though the home button will take you to the home screen of your device, you will still be on the URL Resolver page inside the media center.

  • 10. Reconnect your wireless network

  • 11. After your wireless network is connected Launch the Kodi Media Center

  • 12. As soon as Kodi opens you will be on the URL resolver page and you will select update.

  • 13. Once the update completes your system will be back to working normal.

 

 

For Devices connected by Ethernet

 

 

  • 1. Unplug your Ethernet cable and make sure your device is not connected to any wireless network

  • 2. Launch Kodi Media Center 

  • 3. Go to and select SYSTEM

  • 4. Then Select Add Ons

  • 5. Scroll down and select System again

  • 6. Then Select Dependencies

  • 7. Scroll down to URL Resolver and it will show status as “Update Available”

  • 8. Select URL Resolver and highlight Update – do not select update yet as you are not connected to the internet so it will not update.  You want to stay on this screen inside the Kodi media center.

  • 9. Reconnect your Ethernet cable

  • 10. After your Ethernet is connected click “Update” URL Resolver

  • 11. Once the update completes your system will be back to working normal.
